Vote Josepha Madigan #1

As you know, the General Election is coming up and I am asking you for you No.1 vote.

Here's a few things you should know about me, my priorities and why I want to represent Dublin-Rathdown in the 33rd Dáil.

I have lived in Dublin Rathdown all my life and I’m the only sitting TD to live in the constituency. I’m Married to Finbarr with two sons, Daniel and Luke. I was a solicitor for twenty years and have deep roots locally.  I am a former Councillor and Leas Cathaoirleach of Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council.

Following my election to the Dáil for the first time in 2016, I served on the Oireachtas Public Accounts Committee, the Future of Healthcare Committee, and as Chairperson of the Budgetary Oversight Committee.

I proposed and won a referendum to reform Ireland's divorce laws in 2019, and I also led the Fine Gael campaign to repeal the 8th amendment in 2018.

I was appointed Minister for Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht in 2017 and as Minister I have overseen increased investment in the arts, new supports for artists, and taken action to preserve our biodiversity.

My priorities are:

· Prudent management of taxpayers' money including reform of Local Property Tax, income tax, and inheritance tax

· Reducing crime and building a progressive society

· Supporting families, extending supports for the self-employed, and investing in childcare.

If you should want more information, please feel free to contact me through josepha.madigan@oir.ie. My constituency office is located on 9 Braemor Road, Churchtown, Dublin 14.

Thank you.
