I was delighted to welcome Taoiseach Leo Varadkar to Dublin Rathdown in September for World Democracy Day. The Taoiseach visited Stepaside Educate Together Secondary School, where he spoke to pupils from both Stepaside Educate Together Primary and Secondary Schools, as well as Gaelscoil Taobh na Coille. The Taoiseach has the opportunity to answer questions from the students on democracy, education, and his favourite world leader, as well as to view a special performance by pupils, and to see an exhibition of some of the great work that the students have been doing. Special thanks to all the staff and parents who were involved in organising the visit. The Taoiseach then attended a community event where he met representatives from other local schools, sports clubs and community groups. I am always happy to visit schools in Dublin Rathdown to speak to students and staff about issues that are important to them. If you would like to arrange a visit to your school, please get in touch.
